Haircut try-on

Try the haircut before you commit to it.

Upload the cut you keep going back to. Uptone adapts it to your face shape, hairline and hair type, then writes the version you can hand to a stylist.

How it works

  1. Upload the cut

The reference photo you have been saving. We read the shape, length and layering.

  2. Add your photo

Front-facing, with your hairline visible so the guidance is grounded in your actual hair.

  3. Get a salon reference

The cut described in the terms a stylist works in, so you are not describing it from memory.

What you get

Something you can hand to a stylist

  • How the shape needs to change to sit well with your face and hairline.
  • What to say to your stylist — length, layering and where the shape should fall.
  • Which parts of the reference will not translate to your hair type, said plainly rather than glossed over.
  • What growing it out looks like, when that matters for the decision.

Uptone adapts a look to your features. It never rates how you look, never calls a feature a flaw, and every classification it suggests stays editable by you.

Questions people ask

Will this work with my hair texture?
We take your hair as it is and tell you where a reference will not translate. A cut that relies on a texture you do not have gets flagged rather than promised.
Can I keep my current length?
Yes. Before generating you can ask us to keep your hair length or colour, and we build around that constraint.
Is this a substitute for a consultation?
No. It is a way to arrive at a consultation with a clear reference instead of a vague description. Your stylist still knows things about your hair that a photo cannot show.
