Try the brow shape before the tint, the lamination or the tweezers.
Brows frame everything else on your face, and the semi permanent versions are hard to undo. Preview shape, fullness and colour on your own photo while the decision is still free.

How it works
Loading preview…The adapted result, with your identity held steady Add your photo
Upload a clear, front facing photo in plain light, with your brows visible and ideally unfilled. Heavy brow makeup hides your natural shape, and your natural shape is the starting point every treatment works from.
Loading preview…A reference you can actually take to a professional Describe shape, fullness and colour
Name what you are weighing up: a softer arch, a straighter line, a lifted tail, more fullness through the front, or a colour one shade deeper than your hair. If you are considering a treatment, describe the result it promises, not the treatment name.
Loading preview…A clear before-and-after preview on you Compare against your whole face
Set the preview beside your original and look at your expression, not just the brow. Do you look more awake, more stern, more like yourself? Save the version you would book, and keep the runner up for the appointment conversation.
A brow reference that is actually yours
- The new shape, fullness and colour on your own brows, with your expression unchanged.
- A side by side with your untouched photo, so a few millimetres of difference is easy to judge.
- Two directions tested at once, such as straighter against more arched, before you commit to either.
- A saved result for your Salon Card, so a brow artist works from the exact shape you chose.
Small change, whole face
A brow change is only a few millimetres of shape and a shade or two of colour, yet it moves your whole expression. Straighter brows read younger and softer on some faces and severe on others. Fuller brows can balance strong features or overwhelm fine ones. Uptone redraws the brow on your actual face, with your bone structure and expression untouched, so you can test the direction before anything touches your real brows.
Where this struggles
Hair texture stays invisible
The preview shows shape and colour honestly. It cannot show the direction your brow hairs grow, how coarse they are, or whether they will lie flat after lamination. If your brows grow downward or in several directions, expect the real result to be a close cousin of the preview, not a twin.
Tint takes differently on real hair
A preview colour is a target, not a formula. Tint grabs porous or greying brow hairs faster and darker than the rest, and the first two days of any tint run deeper than the settled result. Show your artist the preview, then let them adjust the timing to your hair.
Your photo stays yours.
Uptone edits your own photo rather than replacing you with a generic model. It never rates your appearance, and you can delete your photos whenever you choose.
Questions people ask
- How much darker can I go than my hair colour?
- One shade deeper than your hair usually reads as definition. Two shades deeper can look drawn on, especially if your brows are naturally fine. Preview both depths on your own face; most people land on the lighter one once they see the comparison.
- Can I preview brows before booking lamination or a tint?
- Yes, and that is the best use of this page. Those treatments last for weeks and are awkward to reverse. Settle the shape and colour here first, save the result to your Salon Card, and book the appointment with the decision already made.
- Will fuller brows suit my face?
- It depends on your features more than on fashion. Full brows tend to balance a strong jaw or a larger forehead and can crowd smaller features. Preview a fuller version and a tidier version of your current brow; your own face answers it better than any trend does.
Retouching is one half of what Uptone does. The other is trying a full makeup look on the same photo.
